City of Peru Awarded a Grant from Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation |

The City of Peru was awarded a grant of up to $28,650 for a "Wind Feasibility Study" from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation. The City is honored to have been chosen from the many applications that the Foundation had received and is very excited to begin this new endeavor. Request for Proposal to Provide & Erect a 60 Meter Meteorological Tower |

Since the City of Peru has been awarded the grant for the "Wind Feasibility Study" we are now seeking Professional Services to Provide and Erect a 60 Meter Meteorological Tower. Please see the attached Request for Proposal for specifications.

The curb leaf collection will end on Wednesday November 25, 2009.

There is a lot of progress in the various development projects going up in the City of Peru. One new restaurant, two new hotels and an added crosswind runway to the Illinois Valley Regional Airport. The crosswind runway at the airport should be completed within the next month or so. Buffalo Wild Wings is looking to open in December. The Holiday Inn Express is targeting for the spring of 2010. The Hampton Inn & Suites is looking to open in the summer of 2010.
