Peru Municipal Building Update Regarding COVID-19

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Peru Municipal Building will be closed to foot traffic until further notice. Clerk's Office hours are 9am-1pm Monday through Friday. Utility bill payments can be made by phone, online at www.peru.il.us or placed in the drop box. No processing fees will be applied. We appreciate your cooperation in preparing for the safety of our residents. The City will continue to take steps to keep residents, staff, and visitors healthy, safe and informed.

Officer Josh Theisinger started his law enforcement career as the Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Peru in 2015. 

He began his law enforcement career with the Granville Police Department in September of 2017 and was hired on at the Peru Police Department in the summer of 2017.

Officer Theisinger holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois Valley Community College.  Officer Theisinger holds three Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Psychology through Bradley University.

Along with being a Patrolman, Officer Theisinger also works as an evidence technician for the PD.
