PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATOR / OFFICE ASSISTANT
The City of Peru Police Department has an immediate opening for a full-time Public Safety Telecommunicator/Office Assistant. Responsibilities include receiving and transmitting emergency and administrative messages over combined police, fire, and medical communications systems. Provides routine and emergency dispatch to police vehicles. Additional responsibilities will include related administrative, clerical, and support services within the department. Qualified candidates must have good communication skills (oral and written) under stressful conditions, be detailed oriented, and the ability to operate a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system. The City of Peru is accepting resumes for a full-time Human Resources Assistant. Responsibilities will include providing administrative support in all areas of human resources including but not limited to benefit administration, recruitment, employee communications, and record keeping.
Must possess strong clerical skills, be detail oriented, highly organized, proficient in Microsoft Office, and be able to maintain confidentiality. Requirements include an Associate’s degree in a related field and minimum of two years clerical experience.
