ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT COMPUTER RELAY TECHNICIAN
The City of Peru is accepting applications for a Computer Relay Technician in our Electric Department. Responsibilities will include programming, operating, and maintaining generators, SCADA, AMI metering, and additional equipment.
Troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubricating systems along with PLC programming and maintenance are additional responsibilities. Also responsible for protective relay programming and fault analysis.
Candidates must have an Associate Degree in Electricity, Electronics, or equivalent. Must have the ability to read ladder logic, schematics and be mechanically inclined. Additionally, must have a valid Illinois Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment and be able to lift a maximum of 100 pounds. PLC experience preferred.

Administrative Assistant
The City of Peru is accepting resumes for a full-time Administrative Assistant. Responsibilities will include providing administrative support to the Engineering & Zoning Department.
Requirements include a minimum of three years administrative experience. Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree and administrative experience within engineering and construction management industries.

Building & Zoning Inspector
The City of Peru is accepting resumes for a full-time Building & Zoning Inspector. This position is responsible for enforcing the City’s zoning ordinance and all adopted building codes, including plumbing, electrical and energy. This position will also review and respond to all building and zoning requests.
Qualified individual will be knowledgeable and have previous experience with the basic principles and techniques of structural building inspections, permit process and building codes. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or the completion of a related trade school program.
