Yard Waste Pickup
YARD WASTE WILL BE PICKED UP ON MONDAY'S (with the exception of Memorial Day, Independance Day, Labor Day, pick-up will be Tuesday of that week)
Yard Waste Pick Up will begin Monday, April 3, 2023.
Please remember that yard waste should be placed at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. Yard waste should be placed in 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags. Please note, nothing shall be deposited in a yard waste bag other than leaves, grass clippings, small twigs, and clippings from small plants, bushes, flowers, and trees. Yard waste such as branches and brush should be cut into 4ft. lengths and tied together with string or twine in bundles not exceeding 50lbs. Chipping Service
Chipping Service will begin Monday, April 3, 2023.
Residents are to call the Public Services Department at 815-223-2962 for chipper service. Cost is $20.00 for each 15 minutes the chipper is at your residence. Items accepted are tree limbs no longer than 4ft in length and 6” in diameter and bush trimmings. No roots, rocks, dirt or foreign objects. Please place cut ends of brush/limbs facing the street.
Appliance Pickup
Appliance pickup will be April 10-14, 2023 on your regularly scheduled garbage day. Appliances consist of water heaters, washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves and dehumidifiers. Please place item(s) at the curb.
