Sergeant Scott DeGroot started his law enforcement career January 09, 2000, with the Peru Police Department.
In August 2009, he was promoted to Sergeant and serves as a shift supervisor in the patrol division.

Sergeant Scott DeGroot was born and raised in the Peru, where he attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Washington Jr. High School and L-P High School. He then earned an Associate’s Degree from Illinois Valley Community College.
Sergeant Scott DeGroot is married and has three children.
